Fizz
The Fizz baseboard supported a diverse lineup of x86_64 Chromeboxes used across education labs, enterprise deployments, digital signage networks, and home desktop environments. Known for their compact size, reliable performance, and strong connectivity options, Fizz devices delivered a solid ChromeOS experience for everyday workloads and managed IT environments. Their efficient processors and flexible mounting or kiosk capabilities made them a dependable choice for long-term deployments where quiet operation and low maintenance were priorities.
However, with an Auto Update Expiration (AUE) date of June 2025 now passed, Fizz-based Chromeboxes no longer receive ChromeOS feature updates or security patches. While still fully usable for offline workflows, kiosk setups not exposed to sensitive data, or specialty tasks, their unsupported status makes them less ideal for general daily internet use going forward. Users and organizations relying on Fizz systems should begin planning migrations to more modern ChromeOS devices or consider repurposing these units with alternative lightweight operating systems where appropriate.
