Eve
The Eve baseboard powered the original Google Pixelbook, a premium ChromeOS convertible that helped redefine what a Chromebook could be. Built on the x86_64 architecture, Eve showcased cutting-edge hardware for its time, including a high-resolution touchscreen, premium materials, fast storage, and top-tier input devices. It served as a flagship platform demonstrating ChromeOS’s evolution beyond basic cloud tasks, enabling advanced productivity, Linux development, and stylus-based workflows in a sleek, versatile form factor.
As a reference point for premium ChromeOS hardware, Eve influenced the design and performance expectations of many devices that followed. With an Auto Update Expiration (AUE) of August 2027, the platform still has years of active support remaining, continuing to receive ChromeOS features and security enhancements.
