Webcams
Even if your ChromeOS Device has a built-in webcam, it may still be beneficial to use an external USB Webcam as it may provide a higher-quality image and will allow you to place your camera in a more convent location on your desk. Most modern webcams will work on ChromeOS without any issue, the following webcams have been tested and have been confirmed to work flawlessly on ChromeOS.
Manufacturer Driver CD-ROM or Software Downloads
Many webcams may include a CD-ROM or instructions to download a driver/software from their website. This software is not supported on ChromeOS and should not be used. Your Webcam will automatically be detected by ChromeOS once connected without the need to install any software.
